A spectral animation workshop run by Marcel Pié Barba and Pere Ginard, experts in fainting, delirium, evaporation and absence.
Based on the Odradek, a creature that appears in France Kafka's story The Cares of a Family Man,
the workshop will consist of making a particularly experimental collective film to enhance the
hybridisation of a wide variety of animation techniques: stop motion on every level, the analogical
manipulation of stills, the cartoon and the collage, etc. In short, processes that enable the
exploration of one's own expressive and, to a certain extent, unexpected resources using a minimum
infrastructure.
The workshop will combine sessions in which shorts will be viewed to help assimilate and
understand the potential of the proposal. The screenings will be preceded by a short presentation by
the author on context and the technique used.
