Arteleku opens its new centre. Following the refurbishment work, the new building (a separate part of the adjoining Convent of the Barefoot Carmelites of St Teresa) raises a number of spatial questions that have to do with the history of and the way in which the space was inhabited.
Simultaneous writing workshop and seminar. These days have been designed as a reflection on physical and symbolic space. The choice of the location, the building rituals, walls, religious seclusion and prison, a sacred space, architecture and magic, the mythology of the centre, literary cartographies, the relationship between the human body and the house, town and environment are some of the subjects that will be discussed during the seminar.
The workshop will focus on various exercises of spatial awareness and literary, musical and artistic stimuli will be created to provide each participant with writing tools.
The seminar requires no type of previous specialisation and is open to anyone interested in the creation of tangible and symbolic space.
