Artxibo Arteleku is a digital repository containing the scanned documents issued from the activity of Arteleku art centre from 1987 to 2014.
The repository consists of three collections where the documented material is classified according to its content: Zehar, Publications and Activities.
Artxibo Arteleku contains documents in different formats: PDF (publications, posters, transcribed interviews...), audio (talks and digitized sound events), graphic (photography and graphic material) and video (events and productions).
All documents include an abstract and are classified by author, publishing genre, subject and bibliographic identifier (physical description, location, table of contents...).
It consists of 69 complete issues. Its articles are catalogued independently.
It consists of all full volumes classified by language, genre and subject. The display will show if publications are related to an event and, if so, to which one.
The Activity collection is classified by year of completion. On the home page, a year can be selected in order to display its content.
Each activity is composed of at least a brief text with information on the date of completion and the title. If there were any related posters, audio files, graphics or video files, they will be downloadable / viewable from the links included in the presentation form of the activity.
All published documents are presented in all available languages. Publications in collaboration with other bodies or institutions may only be available in one single language.
The input area of the browser is located on the left menu. Whenever you enter a term, a general search is performed among the titles and contents of all documents in the repository.
If there is a match, the documents will be displayed by relevance. You can sort the list by title or date of completion by clicking on the upper right side. On the left side you will find the filters available for all resulting documents (language, subject, genre, issue...).
If you want to run an advanced search, you will be able to do so from the matches of an ordinary search. At the top of the matches you will be able to select several specific areas where you wish to run your search (title, author, subject, identifier, issue...). You can use several different fields to run your search.
Remember that the browser accepts special characters when you run an advanced search.
The repository runs on Islandora platform, a set of modules developed with free licenses that run on Drupal content manager and DAM (digital asset management) Fedora Commons.
Artxibo Arteleku is based on Fedora Commons and provides a highly efficient composition of metadata and object dependency. It can also be exported and linked to any other repository using OAI-PMH international standard protocols.
